Jo’Burg Fashion Week Autumn/Winter 2013: [Tart]

Tart Autumn/Winter 2013 Collection (Review):

Tart displayed a fun, edgy and wearable collection. The diverse pieces were mixed with embellishments, prints, high-low dresses, high-slits, and sporty looks. The styling of the entire collection was interesting, especially with the long earrings, which added spice to the entire looks.

Designers Words:

This collection comes to from a rain slicked Cape Town winter. It is a collection built for layering with your favourite winter woolies, tights and scarves.  With slim silhouettes and play on proportion, this is a very sophisticated and ladylike collection. The colours are warm, rich berry and jewel tones, and these are echoed in the in-house designed print of the season. Fabrics are soft and supple jersey knits and silk. We add our sport inspired, minimalistic aesthetic to some of the key trends, like embellishment and structure, while our love of draping is expressed through pieces that hug and flatter at the same time. We have put together a collection of desirable pieces that will update your wardrobe and translate beyond this season.
